NEW YORK (AP) — The fraud lawsuit that could cost former President Donald Trump control of some of his most prized properties went to trial Monday, with New York state lawyers vowing to hold him accountable while he denounced the case as a politically motivated “scam.”The civil case, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, accuses the business-mogul-turned-politician and his company of deceiving banks, insurers and others by habitually misstating his wealth in financial statements.“They were lying year after year after year,” Kevin Wallace, a lawyer in James' office, said in an opening statement as Trump sat at the defense table. He looked straight ahead, arms crossed, facing away from a screen that showed details of Wallace's presentation. Defense lawyers, in their openings, said that the financial statements were true. Two weeks into conference play, the pecking order at the bottom of the Pac-12 standings has more clarity than the hierarchy at the top.For various reasons — some far beyond their control — Stanford and Arizona State have staked early claim to the cellar in a rugged conference that offers few opportunities to change that fate. Will either finish 0-9?Could both finish 0-9?Winless seasons are not as common as fans might think. The last team to reach those depths was Oregon State in 2017, when coach Gary Andersen stepped down in early October. And since the Pac-12 switched to a nine-game conference schedule in 2006, only six teams have gone winless in league play — six teams in 16 years. (We’re excluding the truncated 2020 season.)But the last time two teams were winless in league play in the same season, the Pac-12 was known as the Pacific Coast Conference. It happened several times in the pre-World War II era and once during the conflict, in 1943.Since then, neve...2 arrested after loaded guns allegedly found in car with 4-year-old

En un país conocido por su calor y donde la gente no bebe alcohol pero aman los dulces, las paletas han sido un éxito, dijo Jiménez.
